[New customer accounts] Add a membership card to the customer account page

You can display a membership card on the customer account page. Configure this in the theme editor.

To display the membership card on pages other than the customer account page, or on the customer account page of legacy customer accounts, refer to the manual below. Place membership card on storefront

How to set up a membership card

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store, then click Edit theme on the theme where you want to display the membership card.

From your Shopify admin, go to Checkout and customer accounts, then click Profile.

In the Main section, click Add block, then add 「会員カード」 from 「らんキィ - シンプル会員ランク＆会員証」.

In the 「会員カード」 app block, configure the appearance and other settings in Block settings, then click Save.

Note: In the theme editor, the customer ID and one-dimensional barcode are not displayed. To check the display, log in from the preview.

Membership card appearance settings

Display target (表示先)

Specify which customers the membership card is displayed to.

「全てのログイン中の顧客」: The card is displayed only when the customer is logged in to their account. It is hidden otherwise.

「特定の会員ランクの顧客」: The card is displayed only when the logged-in customer has the specified membership rank. It is hidden otherwise.

「メンテナンスモード」: The card is displayed regardless of the customer’s login status or assigned rank. Use this when adjusting the design.

Membership rank (表示対象のランク名)

This setting is used only when 「特定の会員ランクの顧客」 is selected in 「表示先」.

Card title (カードのタイトル)

Specify the title displayed on the card.

Display image (イメージの表示)

Choose whether to display the image icon. The image can be set using 「カスタム画像URL」 (a custom image URL) or a metaobject.

Customer ID (顧客ID)

Display the customer ID assigned by Shopify. This can also be used to search for customers in the Shopify admin.

(Example) Customer ID: 278365○○○ GID: gid://shopify/Customer/278365○○○

Barcode（バーコード）

Select whether to display a one-dimensional or two-dimensional barcode that embeds the customer ID, making it easier to search for customers in Shopify at physical stores. If not required, select 「非表示」.

The displayed barcode can be scanned using the Shopify POS app. However, note the following:

「一次元バーコード」: Cannot be scanned using the POS device’s camera. Use a dedicated barcode scanner.

「二次元バーコード」: After scanning with the POS device’s camera, paste the value into the customer search field, or use a dedicated barcode scanner. For more details, see → [For merchants using the Shopify POS app] Flow for searching customer using one-dimensional barcode/two-dimensional barcode

Note: This feature is available only for Shopify POS.

Custom image URL（カスタム画像URL）

Enter the URL of the image to display on the card. It is recommended to use the URL of an image uploaded to Shopify under Content > Files.

Note: This is not required if you are using a metaobject.

Optional: Retrieve image from metaobject（オプション：メタオブジェクトから画像を取得）

When enabled, an image corresponding to the membership rank is retrieved from a metaobject and displayed instead of the image set in 「カスタム画像URL」.

How to set up a metaobject（メタオブジェクトの設定手順）

From your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Metafields and metaobjects. You will see the Metaobject definitions section.

Create a new metaobject definition (e.g., type name: rank_cards).

Add the following two fields:

rank_title (Single line text) — Field for entering the rank name

rank_image (Image (File)) — Field for uploading an image corresponding to the rank

Note

Create entries for each rank and register the rank name and image.

rank_title：The rank name set in Ranky

rank_image：The image icon to be displayed for each rank

Handle：Any alphanumeric string

Return to the membership card settings and configure the following:

Set 「メタオブジェクトから画像を取得」 to True

In 「メタオブジェクトタイプ名」, enter the type name created in step 2 (e.g., rank_cards)
